WHAT ARE PRESS-ON NAILS?

Press-on nails, also known as glue-on nails, are artificial nails.  They are made of acrylic resin.  There are many acrylic resins available and the specific ingredients can change between different brands and models. 

My personal opinion is that press-on nails are the next best thing since sliced bread!  Gone are the times of tacky fake nails you would only buy for your teenage daughter.  These are a great alternative for when you just don’t have time for a nail salon appointment, or you can only wear nail enhancements for a short period of time due to work or other commitments.

WHY PRESS-ON NAILS?

Applying press on nails are quick and effortless.  Not only do they last for ages, they are re-wearable.  Yes, that's right, you can re-wear them!

With press on nails, you can maintain the health of your natural nails as, with correct application and removal, the glue doesn't damage the nails.

Imagine being able to change your nails as often as you change your outfit!

HOW LONG DO PRESS-ON NAILS LAST?

The wear time depends on how well you prepare your natural nails before application, and they type of nail adhesive used. 

Adhesive nail tabs are great for a few days wear, or even a few hours, ideal for a special occasion.  Liquid nail glue is idea for longer wear, typically lasting 1 to 3 weeks with correct preparation and application. 

Detailed instructions and an application kit are included with every set of press on nails ordered.

HOW DO I APPLY PRESS-ON NAILS?

  • PREP - Gently buff your nails and wipe thoroughly with an alcohol wipe
  • PICK - Pick the suitable nail size and put them aside
  • APPLY - Apply the glue tab, position the press-on nail correctly, then press on to your nail, holding in place for 15 seconds.
  • STAY AWAY - Avoid contact with water for at least 30 minutes after application.

HOW DO I REMOVE PRESS-ON NAILS?

You can easily remove your set by soaking them in warm water and gently lifting the sides with a orange wood stick.  Then simply peel off the adhesive tab and your nails are ready to reuse.

If using nail glue, you can also soak your nails in 100% pure acetone, which can be purchased at your local pharmacy.  The acetone will melt your press on nails, so do not use this method if you plan on reusing your nails.

HOW DO I KNOW THE SIZE I NEED?

Sizing Kits are the most accurate way to get the perfect fit of press on nails.

The sizing of each nail shape differs slightly, so I therefore recommend using a Sizing Kit for each shape you would like to try. 

Please note, I do not accept nail measurements, eg. mm.

DO YOU OFFER CUSTOM DESIGNS?

Yes!  If you have a design in mind or want me to recreate something you saw on Instagram, Pinterest etc... simply send me a message or email and I’ll get back to you.

*Please note, I do NOT recreate the work of another nail artist exactly, I use it as inspiration for your own custom set. 

Also, please keep in mind that not all ideas or designs fit my style.  Therefore, I can decline if it is not something I am comfortable with creating.

HOW TO ORDER CUSTOM PRESS-ON NAILS

 

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY ORDER?

Your order will include an application kit consisting of 1 nail file, 1 buffer, 2 alcohol wipes, 1 cuticle stick, 1 sheet of adhesive nail tabs, and detailed step by step instructions on how to apply your press-on nails.  You will receive one application kit per set of press-on nails ordered.
